This series is based on the work of

Feridüddin Atar’s “Mantıku’t Tayr”.

The Journey with Birds is the story of 9 dervishes representing 9 symbolic birds looking for the birds sultan Simurg in Mantıku’t-Tayr and the sheikh guiding them. In the first part of the Journey with Birds, a traveler who escapes from the bandit joins nine dervishes who are preparing to embark on a fierce ego journey under the guidance of their sheikhs.

He becomes a part of the journey of truth in the lodge where he sees compassion. The traveler tells his first story to the dervish Cihan. This story of the traveler who carries the deceitful feelings of the world to the lodge is now the test of the dervish Cihan. Dervish Cihan is torn between his soul and his conscience in his trade for dervish lodges.

This is his first stumbling on his great journey. The sheikh of the lodge who feels the situation through the eyes of the heart waits. The situation of Dervish Cihan is like the “Partridge” in the story of birds that the sheikh told his dervishes. But is he aware of this, what will he do now?
