Hamidi Veli, who lived during the reign of Yıldırım Beyazıt Khan, one of the Ottoman Sultans, is a noble sayyid descended from the 24th generation of our Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi wa Sallam). He received his first education from his father and then continued his education in Damascus, Tabriz, Hoy and Ardebil. He benefited from the spirituality of Bayazid-i Bestami and returned to Anatolia after obtaining a license from Alaaddin-i Erdebili.
