SAKARYA POEM ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Published

on

Human it is, flows as it is water, curly
The one that flows one side is me, on other side Sakarya

Water goes down from climbs, always step by step
And my fate is to get thirsty on acclivities

Everything flows, water, history, star, human and idea
Channels are dual, from one flows divine light, from the other one dirt

Little, big, universe; beamed in the flow
Look to the cloud there!, climbing, contrary to the water that goes down

But Sakarya is different, is it climbing ha?
A lead burden is loaded on its foamily body

Cracking, straining every nevre to take the climb
Hey Sakarya, Who said that water cannot be riveted ?

If Allah wants, waters get wringed
And history of Turks gets settled on its body

Oh my Sakarya, is this burden( duty ) for you?
This cause is seen despicable, this cause is orphan, this cause is big

What a heavy test that you are dealing with, Sakarya!
How can a canary could carry 1001 headed eagle?

I thought that it was human, who is the carrier of sacred burden
Being a hamal (porter), with no rank in the end, with no goods

Only a bite, from the meal that cooked with poison
And apartness from mother, country and friend

Now be frantic with sorrow, it is time for it
Remember the old suns (days), that run to milkyway (that became history)

That, Yunus Emre was walking by your side
That, the army which drizzles shiny domes after itself

Where are your brothers, beneficent Nile, green Danube
When will the glorious raider that gone, turns back to the country

Does still Takbir voices crashes in the pulses of marbles
Does the mad wind find that sound : Allah is One!

All these are in you, these complex puzzles
Sakarya, nights poured tar on candles

Equal to guilty conscience, boil, boil Sakarya
You are poor on your own land, outcast in your own land

Human, 3-5 drop blood, river 3-5 drop water
We are facing with a life, that is ambushing for life

Came; the mortal lie, gone; the immortal truth
You! living deaths, who will bring you to life

Sakarya, honest children of clean Anatolia
Only we are left, wild mads of the path to Allah

You and me, we are made of dough that is prepared with tear
When one looks to our colours, we are from mud, and from blood

Fate kneaded us in the chela of scorpion
Dont bother, came like this, this world goes like this!

To me; bed is winding sheet, to you pool is coffin
You curl, I go, the guide is Last Prophet!

The path belongs to Him, everything is His, all the other lie
You creeped much with your face down, stand up, Sakarya!

KANUNI SULTAN SULEIMAN – MUHIBBI

Published

KANUNI(The Lawgiver) SULTAN SULEIMAN THE MAGNIFICENT 1494-1566

Halk içinde mu´teber bir nesne yok devlet gibi
Olmaya devlet cihânda bir nefes sihhat gibi.
There is no worthy thing like prosperity among the folk
There is no prosperity like a breath of health in the world

Ko bu ays u isreti çünkim fenâdur âkibet
Yâr-i baaki ister isen olmaya tâat gibi.
Leave this junket because its end is bad.
If you want an everlasting beloved, there is no other than worshipping.

Olsa kumlar sagisinca ömrüne hadd ü aded
Gelmeye bu sise-i çarh içre bir sâat gibi.
If you had days to live as many as sands
They wouldnt be even one hour in this bottle of heavens.

Saltanat didükleri ancak cihân gavgaasidur
Olmaya baht u saâdet âlem-i vahdet gibi.
The thing that they call sultanate is only fight for world.
There is no fortune and happiness like the universe of unity.

Ger huzûr itmek dilesen ey Muhibbî fârig ol
Var midur vahdet makaami gûse-i uzlet gibi.
If you want to be in peace Muhibbi, be away from everything.
Is there a place of unity like the place of loneliness?

THERE ARE 52 DAYS LEFT

Published

on

Dursun Ali Erzincanlı 52 Gün Var English Translation

If Allah, the Rabb of the entire universe, sends a Prophet…

HE first announces this with the stars…

Three stars are born around the moon…

These three stars announce the good news to the whole universe…

The stars are going to be born one last time…

Like news after another news, the divine light following another light…

They will tell the good news about our last and beloved Prophet…

There are 52 days left…

Sadness and happiness are one within the other in the house of happiness (house of Rasulullah Aleyhis Salatu Was Salaam).

The mother of all mothers are waiting for a consolation.

She is waiting for her pearl with sorrowful eyes since she just lost her husband…

Maybe she hears that little heart’s beating…

Maybe she is crying because he is not going to have a father when he is born…

But Hadhrat Aamina is aware of the mercy she carries.

And preparations are being made beyond the stars…

There are birds…

They are going a long way…

The birds are far away from the world, but they are coming closer at a fast pace…

There are 52 days left!

A disaster in Mecca happens!

The governor of Yemen, Abraha is going to attack the Kaaba.

They took 200 camels from Abdul Muttalib.

The leader of Mecca wants his camels back.

The Owner of the Kaabah protects the Kaabah.

Abraha is angry, he says:

No one can protect it against me!

The old man of Quraysh says the last word:

I am not going to be stuck in between! Here you are! Here it is!

There are 52 days left.

The folk of Mecca climb up to the mountains.

Mecca is evacuated.

The Haram Sharif is fortified…

Abdul Muttalib is so upset…

The old man of Quraysh holds on to the Kaabah’s circle.

The One, protect the ones whose immunity have fallen…

Protect the Kaabah and the Kaabah’s people…

Then he also climbs a mountain…

The cover of the Kaaba is left there…

A multicolored cover made in Yemen…

The house of happiness is alone, the station of Ebrahim.

Hijri Ismail, Hajre aswad and the Kaaba are all alone.

And birds (Abaabeels), created to fly… .

Obvious from their feet, that they will never land.

The birds are getting closer to the world..

There are 52 days left.

Abraha’s army is at the valley of Muhassab…

A giant elephant leads them at the front…

And sixty thousand miserable people follow it…

They are taking action to destroy the Kaabah.

Before the elephant takes a step Tufayl, the advisor of Abraha comes closer and whispers something…

”You mammoth, go back to the place where you came from safe and sound.

Because you are in a place which is made untouchable by Allah.”

And Tufayl also goes back to the mountains.

And the elephant kneels down.

You can see a fight going on among the soldiers. They wonder why the elephant is not standing up.

It runs when it is directed to the opposite way, but it stops and kneels when it is directed to the Kaabah.

They put sharp irons in it’s nose to make it stand up and walk, but it never stands up.

Then a darkness shows up in the sky around Yemen…

It’s like a dark cloud…

A darkness approaching from the sea…

Eyes are opened wide with terror…

Faces show terror..

A voice says: ”Look if you can stand it!”

Because Ababeels are raining down!

They are the birds that were never seen in the world before!

The big ones, the small ones, all in different groups..

They follow each other like wild animals…

In their beaks and claws are stones made from dirt…

Their wings are snow white…

On their heads is a writing…

Al-QAHHAR (The One who prevails over all creation)

For torment, they were created.

Here the torment starts…

Abraha and his army…

and stones raining on them…

The stones which can take their fossil hearts out…

There are 52 days left;

The Kaabah is not left alone, The Kaabah is not without an Owner…

And the Kaabah screams:

Where is your army? You were too proud.

Is there a place you can escape? Where you can go?

ALLAH is the One Who will be following you!

Today, everyone in this army is going to have their share of this torment.

Abraha is defeated, ALLAH always wins.

We know that you will find yourselves in flames when it’s all done.

”ALLAH is the best planner.”

Ya Rabb, if a person like Abraha gathers his army and attempt attacking Your possessions…

we beg You, please don’t send Ababeels again.

Do not send Your birds of torment until there is no one with the love of Islam in his heart left in the world…

Today, Ababeels should watch us just like how the folk on mountains watched them in a state of fear…

And the earth should hear us…

We are the protectors of the Kaabah!

Because we are the Ummah of Muhammad (SAW)

The Kaabah is waiting for the Sultan of hearts while Ababeels are leaving Mecca.

The mother of all mothers is waiting for her rose.

There are 52 days left!

DONT HURT THE ROSE DEAR HEART

Published

on

Be kind to the flowers
Lest you hurt the honey, dear heart.
For a single little fruit
Don’t hurt the branches, dear heart.

Don’t hold back on love,
Build, and don’t destroy,
Don’t bother those who love,
Don’t hurt the roses, dear heart.

Even if you hold your head high
Keep your eyes on the horizon,
By striding on with pride,
Don’t hurt the path, dear heart.

Don’t go overboard when Allah gives,
Don’t be angry when Allah takes away,
Don’t disrupt the burning stoves,
Don’t hurt the ashes, dear heart.

Make an effort,
Trust the wisdom,
It all leads to good,
Don’t hurt His subjects, dear heart.

I ALWAYS THINK OF YOU

Published

on

When I hear words of love
I always think of you
All through these endless dreams
I always think of you

From the heavens, the stars fall
And colors pull from midnight blue
In my heart, a pain install
And I always think of you.

When wit is met by its end
I look inward for the path that’s true,
The silent sleep of cosmos portend
That I always think of you.

And eternal, the time flows
Fruits fall and branch’s exposed,
I watch as the flower grows,
And I always think of you.

The wind blows far from land to land,
In health, I know this does not end.
Beyond richness, and even nothingness
I always think of you.
Beyond richness, and even nothingness
I always think of you.

La Tahzen – Dont Be Sad

Published

on

La Tahzen! Don’t be sad!

If people have broken your heart, don’t be sad!
Didn’t the Most Merciful say: “I am in the broken hearts”?
Then why are you getting upset O dear one?
If you want to spread light around like the morning, burn your darkest desires which resemble the night
You say “I have problems”. Problems are your carriages that carry you towards Haqq, don’t you know?
Don’t ever think that you are the only one who has problems.
Remember that there are some people who would gladly accept your problems as blessings.
Do not lose your hope. Remember Yusuf (A.S).
Whenever there is a problem, in there is cure.
Whenever there is poverty, blessings go to that place.
Whenever there is a question, the answer is given there.
Wherever the ship lies, there is water nearby.
Get thirsty, so that the water can start spreading from both underground and the earth.
Property and goods of this world are Allah’s smile.
Look at them but don’t get drunk with them.

La Tahzen! Don’t be sad!

The sea doesn’t fit into a river, and the ocean doesn’t fit into the sea.
Those who never fell in love, they wouldn’t understand you, nor me, even if you tried to explain.
If you tell them love is the way to reach Allah, they wouldn’t believe you.
Those who don’t have a tiny bit of sunshine in their hearts, they don’t burn, they can’t burn (with love).
Don’t be upset over a broken foot. Maybe Allah will give you wings instead of the foot He has taken away from you.
Don’t be sad as you are stuck at the bottom of the well.
Yusuf (A.S) got out of the well and became the Sultan of Egypt, don’t forget!
If something you wanted has come true, look for a fortune. But if it hasn’t, look for a thousand times more fortune in it.
The past and the future are for human beings. In reality, there is only one truth. This life is a dream.
Don’t get it wrong O dear one!
In a dream, if your hand is cut off, don’t be afraid, because in reality, your hand is just fine.
If this world is a dream, whatever befalls you is temporary.
Why do you feel so sad then?
When everything goes wrong and when you come to a point where you can’t take it anymore, don’t you ever give up!
Because that point is your crossroad where everything is going to change for good.
You are the book of this universe. Look inside and read yourself O dear one!
The universe’s furthest corner is a little dot inside you, but you are not even aware of it.
Whatever your problem may be, don’t be afraid! as long as your hope is Allah!
While everyone places trust on other things, let your reassurance be Allah!
There is no sin greater than Allah’s great mercy, however you must struggle to not commit sin.

La Tahzen! Don’t be sad!

Whatever your problem might be, perform an ablution (Wudhu), like taking a breath, and lay out a prayer mat in your room,
Sit down and cry out. If you wish, don’t say a word.
HE knows you and your problems better than you, don’t forget.
While praying, raise your hands along with a broken heart.
Because Allah’s mercy and benevolence immediately arrive to the person whose heart is torn.
Someone who hits a carpet with a stick does not aim to beat up the carpet, but to get rid of the dust.
Whilst Allah is cleaning off your dust, why are you getting upset O dear one?

La Tahzen! Don’t be sad!

If something doesn’t go your way, it is either because something better will happen or because that thing really shouldn’t happen.
Look at those flying birds! They don’t plant anything nor do they reap,
So do you think that Allah, Who thinks of even these birds’ livelihood would neglect you?
Allah wouldn’t neglect you, just so you know how to wish.
Troubles and calamities fall like rain.
But only those who are able to walk in them will be recorded in the book of love.
Love is a determined range in the path of trouble.
It doesn’t matter from where caravans of sorrow come,
The one whose concern is love, doesn’t have the concern of his head(whether he will be beheaded or not).

The Miraj

Published

on

Close your eyes,
And watch the darkness.
It is such a night,
A night in Makkah,
Deep silence,
Even sleep is sleeping.

At the Hatim side of the Kaaba,
Lies someone asleep on his right
The year is the year of sadness,
There is no Abu Talib.
The year is the year of sadness,
There is no Loyal wife Khadijatul Kubra.

At the Hatim side of the Kaaba,
Lies someone asleep on his right.
A heart seeking solace.
A heart beating with sadness.
His heart…

And footsteps..
The stars are shining.
These footsteps coming from the sky,
The stars open the way,
Someone is arriving from the sky.

If Allah were to allow,
The universe would descend to the ground,
Because who lies in the Hatim area..
Is the Sultan of the universe.

If Allah were to allow,
All the worlds would descend to the ground,
But the Order is only for Jibrail,
And only Jibrail descends.

Get up O Rasulullah(Aleyhi Salatu Vesselam)
Angels are waiting you in the sky
Longing for your face that was stoned in Taif,
Longing for your word which was ridiculed,
The angels are waiting you!

Is there no loyalty on earth?
Is your heart looking for someone to comfort you?
Your loved ones are gone, one by one?
Dont be sad, open your eyes
Beyond awaits you

The universe will say your name this night,
The *Buraq will fly for you.
Open your eyes O Habibullah
This night, Allah will name as ”Isra”

O seven layers of sky, open your gates,
And send word to the longing Prophets who are waiting for you,
Say to Hadhrat Adam,
”Salih(a person with good deeds) son is coming”

Tell Isa(Jesus),
You smell him like he is one step away you,
While you take shelter in Allah with your followers,
And you announced good news to humanity,
Ahmed is coming.

Tell Yusuf (Joseph), Idris, Harun,
Tell Musa (Moses),
The one who you admire his qualifications,
And want to be from his ummah,
Brother Salih is coming,

Give good news to Prophet Ibrahim,
The son you pray for is coming.
Open your gates O seven layers of sky,
Muhammed Mustafa is coming.

Jibrail leads the way,
And the Sultan of the Sultans is walking.
What a beautiful walk is this?
What a beautiful manner is this?
Pearl sweat on his blessed forehead,
There is full adab(decency) from head to toe,
With every step he takes

My Sultan…
Did you dream of your Ummah while heaven was shown to you that night?
Did Jibraeel see your tears
As the flames of hell made Salam to you?
Did you say, “My Ummah!”?
You never forget us, we never doubt it
May Allah not make us forget you.

Rasulullah walked,
Jibrail ahead.
A night walk, they walk rising up.
They rise more and go higher.
Then suddenly Jibrail stopped,

”Ya Rasulullah, till here it is with me”
”Why?”, asks our master.
”This is Sidra-i Muntaha,
If I take one step more, i will burn, I will get scorched”.
”How i can walk on Sidre-i Munteha?”, asked Rasulullah (Alaihis Salatu Was Salam).
Jibrail answered;
”With love!”

Walk with love Ya Rasulullah
Walk my Sultan, the road is yours!
The promise is yours on the the valley of love.

The name of conversation is you.
The taste of everything is you.
Walk and send the Salam(greeting) of your tearful Ummah,
So many orphans without you,
Forward your greetings,
The sigh of the end times,
Send it to the Exalted Allahu Zul Jelal.

My Sultan
As you turn back from Miraj,
With divine gifts;
With five daily prayers which is Miraj for us,
With the last two verses of the Surah al-Baqarah,
And with the good news that those who do not fall into shirk can be forgiven.

While you return from Miraj,
We call from Akhir(end) times like Abu Bakr:
”If he said it, then it’s truth”.
”If Rasulullah told it, then it’s truth”.

And an ayah(verse) warms the universe:
“Pure is that Being Who transported His slave by night from Masjidul Haraam to Masjidul Aqsa, the vicinity of which We have blessed, to show him Our Aayaat. Undoubtedly, He is the All Hearing, the All Seeing.” (Surah Bani Israeel, Ayah 1)

*Buraq is a white, winged animal, smaller than a mule and bigger than a donkey. It was used to transport Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi wa sallam on his night journey of Miraj to the seven heavens and beyond. (Taken partly from Hadith 429 of Bukhari)

Another Hadith describes the Buraq:

“On the night of Mi’raj, Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was brought an animal with a long back [Sayyiduna stretched out his hands wide to demonstrate this], one stride of it is as far as its vision. So, the two of them [Nabi sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and Jibril] remained upon the back of Al-Buraq until they saw Jannah and Jahannam, and all of what has been prepared for the Hereafter, then they returned back to where they began.”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3147)
