He is a friend of Allah who contributed greatly to the spiritual growth and development of the Ottoman Empire by educating many students, especially Hac\u0131 Bayram-\u0131 Veli. He is nicknamed &#8220;Somuncu Baba&#8221;. His name is in the sources; It is mentioned as Hamid-i Veli, Sheikh Hamidi Veli, Hamiduddun-i Veli, Hamid Hamideddin-i Veli.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Hamid-i Veli Somuncu Baba was born in 1331 in the Ak\u00e7akaya village of Kayseri. His father is \u015eemsettin Musa Efendi, one of the Khorasan saints who came to Anatolia for spiritual conquest. Hamidi Veli, who lived during the reign of Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m Beyaz\u0131t Khan, one of the Ottoman Sultans, is a noble sayyid descended from the 24th generation of our Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi wa Sallam). He received his first education from his father and then continued his education in Damascus, Tabriz, Hoy and Ardebil.
