The Owl never lies. That’s why it’s considered ominous in folklore.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

An owl flew up to Suleiman(AS) and greeted him. Suleiman(AS) accepted the greeting. Then a conversation occured between them:<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Owl, why won’t you consume what comes out of the earth?” “The reason Hadhrat Adem was banished from heaven is because he ate something that came out of the earth.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“But, why won’t you drink any water?” “Because, the ship of Nuh(AS) sank in water.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Why do you leave civilization and live only in ruins?” “The ruins are the heritage of Allah, so I live in ruins.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“What do you say when you land on ruins?” “I say: Where are those that used to live here?”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Then, what do you say when you fly above the buildings?” “I say: Pity, people are sleeping with peace even though there are many hardships waiting for them.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Why do you stay away during the day?” “Because of the amount of cruelty humanity causes themselves.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

“What do you say when you hoot?” “I say: O, oblivious being, prepare yourself for the journey to afterlife! ‘Subhane Haliku’n-Nur’, I say.”<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

After this conversation, Suleiman(AS) said: “Among all the birds, owls give the best advice to humanity and they are the ones most compassionate.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

How strange it is that those who are ignorant see them as ominous.<\/h4>\n
