A man has just returned home, messed up, after hiding forever what was a total disgrace to him, no mercy for an innocent tiny heart, gasping for breath till it can gasp no more under all that soil he had just dug as she smiled and giggled thinking he was playing a game with her. Her crime? Being a female.<\/p>\n
A woman in labour pain, after carrying her precious baby in her womb for 9 months, oh such anxiety adding to the pain, will it be a respected male, or a loathed female? Ya Rabbi, it is a girl! Oh no! How can I keep my baby alive? the only way now is to send her away to be cared for by someone else and to say my baby has died.<\/p>\n
A bet has just been lost with no more wealth to pay for the losses. The solution? the wife will now be traded.
\nThe parents of this child have passed on, let\u2019s distribute the inheritance to this only child of their\u2019s. Oh wait, it is a girl? Haha, we can get richer now! Not just the money but even she is ours now.
\nThose were days that just having the wrong identity was a nightmare to live through.
\nIt is amidst this very same darkness that such light emerges, that spared no one around! Not the weak elderly or the helpless children, nor the orphans and even the \u2018worthless in their sight\u2019 women.<\/p>\n
\u201c..The best of you are the those who are best to their wives\u201d,
\n\u201cI and the one who takes care of two daughters until they reach maturity, will be like this on the day of Qiyaamah,\u2019\u2019 and he then joined his fingers together.
\n\u201cOne who sees to the needs of the widow and the needy is like a Mujahid in the path of Allah.\u201d
\n\u201cA man asked, \u2018\u2019O Rasulullah, who is most deserving of my kind companionship? He reolied, \u201cYour mother\u201d, (three times).\u201d
\n..are words so foreign at the time, yet conveyed strongly and repeatedly in different ways and occasions, by a man so pure, a model of justness and kindess, Rahmatul lil \u2018Aalameen- a mercy to the entire humanity, our beloved Prophet Muhammed SAW.
\nAs we try to look at his Mubaarak excellent model, we can only cover a drop in the vast ocean in the numerous occasions of Rasulullah\u2019s SAW most kind, caring and tolerant character with a gender which was so frowned upon.<\/p>\n
Right down to a little girl who Rasulullah SAW once described as \u2018the one he loves most\u2019, when saying who he will hand over a necklace to, his beloved granddaughter, Umaamah R.A, the daughter of Zainub R.A, whom he calls and so gently places the necklaces around her neck. Not forgetting the times Rasulullah SAW, the leader of both worlds, would be leading the illustrious Sahabah R.A in salaah and yet on his Mubarak back sat his beloved granddaughter, little Umaamah R.A, as he read. <\/p>\n
A man with the biggest responsibility anyone could ever have, that of conveying the guidance for humanity till Qiyaamah, who could have a more valid excuse for being busy, yet he has time to have races with his beloved wife , stand with her as she watches the abyssinians playing with their shields and spears, until she is fully satisfied , stopping an entire caravan among whom are most senior Sahabah R.A, for what reason? Because of a necklace of his blessed wife getting lost, and to appease her distress and allow time to search for it even though it was even in the middle of the desert. <\/p>\n
\u201cGlass vessels\u201d is the most beautiful description that our beloved Rasulullah SAW so caringly chose when saying to the slave who sang his song, causing the camels to move faster, on which was Our beloved mothers, the blessed wives of Rasulullah SAW and the wives of the blessed Sahabah R.A.
\n\u201cBecareful, Oh Anjashah! The camels you are driving are carrying glass vessels\u201d, or as another narration has, \u201cBe more gentle, Oh Anjashah; be careful of the glass vessels.\u201d <\/p>\n
Oh how extremely merciful was our beloved Prophet SAW. Never did he ever raise his hand on any woman, be it from his family or even a slave. But on the contrary he would even share in their chores, never considering it below his dignity.
\nShowing such love right upto even eating in the same utensil with his wives, and even eating from the same bone, and drinking from the same side of the cup that his wife drank from! When the Azwaje Mutahharaat was in menstruation, then too, Rasulullah SAW would embrace them <\/p>\n
And love so loyal, that no matter how many years may have passed on, the support and help from his beloved Khadija R.A he never ever forgot, so much so that Ayesha R.A would begin to feel jealous, even though Khadija R.A was no longer among them. Loyalty extending so far that even to the relatives and friends of his beloved Khadija R.A was honour shown, gifts given and kind treatment carried out. <\/p>\n
With his mammoth task, appeared many enemies too. Rasulullah SAW having to leave his home many times on many different occasions.
\nOn one such occasion, it was a tough battle. Many enemies have been defeated. The blessed Prophet returns to his home city, and after visiting the house of Allah, to his beloved daughter Fathima R.A he goes, whom he would visit first, not just this time but after every return home. When she would visit him, he would stand up to kiss her and welcome her and make her sit next to him.(tirmidhi) and expressed such love for her saying, \u201cFathima is a part of me, whoever makes her angry, makes me angry.\u201d <\/p>\n
The love and kindness of Rasulullah SAW spread even to non family members, wether it be when the little slave girl would hold his Mubaarak hand, pulling him along with her wherever she wanted to go and the Merciful Prophet, our Rasulullah SAW following.
\nOr any women coming with any complaint or problem, not leaving except satisfied with the assistance of Rasulullah SAW.<\/p>\n
Every action done for Rasulullah SAW, even by women never went unappreciated and the bravery of even women was acknowledged, like when Rasulullah SAW, talking about a Sahabiyyah R.A said, \u201cWhenever I turned left or right on the day of the battle of Uhud, I always saw her (Umm \u2018Ammarah) fighting in my defense.\u201d. And commending her on her bravery as she urges her wounded son, after bandaging his wound, \u201cGo and fight the people, my son till your last breath!\u201d, the Prophet \ufdfa says to her, \u201cWho can endure what you can endure, Umm Ammarah!\u201d. <\/p>\n
