This series is based on the work of Feridüddin Atar’s “Mantıku’t Tayr“.

In this episode of Journey with the Birds, a ruthless thief haunts the lodge. The thief is a common thief of the region. Everyone is afraid of his evilness. The thief who stole the silver lamps of the lodge plans to go to the lodge again and steal all of them. Meanwhile, Sheikh Efendi is telling the very dignified dervishes about the valley of tawhid with a story about tawhid. While the thief was passing by the Sheikh and dervishes on his horse, he fell to the ground and was injured.

Sheikh Effendi and dervishes help him and bandage his wound. They do not know that the thief is the thief that broke in. Sheikh Efendi, on the other hand, seems to know the thief, but he does not reveal anything. The thief is surprised to see these people doing a favor to him whom he has done wrong. He continues on his way. Meanwhile, the Traveler makes a difficult journey through the forest, trying to bring the medicine to the Sheikh.
