Başbuğ disrupts Zafer’s plans

At the end of last week´s episode, Başbuğ appeared before Zafer, who ordered the execution of Omer and asked to release him immediately. Zafer does not like Başbuğ’s request as it destroys his plans. Omer, who learns about the plan of the coup organized by the Admiral, talks with Cemil Ateş, and they agree on how to end the Admiral. The admiral is confident that the coup will succeed. He made all his preparations and mobilized the army of the junta for a socialist takeover. However, there is a big problem. The Commander of the Ground Forces wants the coup to take place inside the chain of command. But the Admiral is not going to give up.

Preparations for a new counter-coup have already begun in the army. The Chief of the General Staff gathers all the commanders of the troops and reports on the situation. Zafer Erbay is one of the organizers of the counter-coup. According to the plan, a memorandum will be issued first, if Demirel does not leave the post of prime minister, a coup will take place.

Omer proposes to Filiz on the very day he thinks the bad period is over. Omer does not suspect that on that day a great nightmare will begin for him. As soon as he hears the memorandum on the radio, the soldiers break into the house and take Omer and Cemil Ateş away. Omer escapes while being transported to another prison and goes after Zafer. Episode 30 of Sevda Kusun Kanadinda is about a coup attempt, March 9, 1971. The Admiral pressed the button for a socialist coup. His first target is the Chief of the General Staff, whom he could not convince. When the Admiral enters the office of the Chief of the General Staff, he finds Zafer armed with a pistol. The Admiral is shocked by what he sees, but he has a big trump card that will drive Zafer into a corner.

Zafer believes that a counter-coup is imminent and convinces the Chief of the General Staff that they must carry out the coup themselves. The Admiral learns of this plan and orders his group to mobilize on March 9th.

Omer’s target is Parkali and his friends. Omer wants to avenge Hüsnü. He catches Sedat and finds out that he works for the Admiral. Omer’s new target is the Admiral, and he has set a trap for him from which he cannot escape.

The soldiers, taken out of the barracks, under the pretext of street riots, began to gather everyone and put them in jail. Hüsnü’s house was also raided and Mustafa was arrested. A major quarrel ensues between the locals and the soldiers.
