This series is based on the work of Feridüddin Atar’s “Mantıku’t Tayr”.

We see that Dervish Fazil was defeated in the first test and took off his dervish cardigan and wore the palace hilt. Dervish Fazıl leaves his Sheikh and dervish lodge and goes to the palace and becomes the chief clerk. He is now the hawk in the cage. He seems fascinated by ranks and positions.

After a while, Derviş Fazıl gets into a big dilemma when the Sultan asks him to write another book that will deny a true book. Despite the great conflict he lived in, he wrote the book that the Sultan wanted. However, the dervish inside of him prevented him from writing an ornate book which is against the truth.

Dervish Fazıl, realizing the magnitude of his test and his mistake, with a great jolt, takes off the hilt, puts on his cardigan, and returns to the lodge.
